Explore Belledonne by bike

Staying at the gîte lets you explore different kinds of cycling around Laval-en-Belledonne. The municipality lists touring and mountain bike routes, the Bike’ Arc Trail Center and Bel’Vélec circuits. Choosing the route matters as much as the destination: check its start, difficulty and the day’s conditions.

Road bike, mountain bike or e-bike?

On the road: balcony routes and mountain passes

The Belledonne Chartreuse Tourist Office offers a selection of road cycling routes, including the Belledonne and Chartreuse balcony roads, the Col du Luitel and climbs to the resorts. Read the detailed route pages to compare distances, elevation gain and difficulty.

On the trails: mountain bikes and e-bikes

Laval’s municipal website links to the Bel’Vélec circuits, including ‘Laval’ and ‘Laval – Ruisseaux de Belledonne’. Electric assistance does not remove technical challenges: choose a route that suits your experience and the terrain conditions.
