Retention periods chosen for this site

French law does not set a single maximum lifetime for all cookies. Retention must suit their purpose. The periods stated here are the settings chosen for this site, not a universal legal maximum.

Your acceptance or rejection is stored for six calendar months from your last explicit choice, following the CNIL’s general good-practice recommendation. A simple visit does not extend this deadline. Once it expires, you are asked to choose again; optional services remain blocked in the meantime.

The thirteen-month lifetime chosen for Analytics cookies is a site policy. It does not exempt Google Analytics from consent. Data retention in the Analytics account is separate from cookie lifetime.

Necessary storage

The “belledonne-consent-v1” preference is saved in your browser’s local storage. It contains the chosen categories, settings version, choice date and expiry. It is not sent to Google and contains no visitor identifier.

Google Analytics: optional

After your consent, and only if audience measurement is enabled, Google Analytics may use “_ga” and “_ga_*” cookies to recognise a browser and measure pages viewed as well as predefined actions related to availability, the 3D tour or guide, contact methods and the acceptance of a submitted enquiry. No form field, message, contact detail or free-form URL is sent to Analytics. The cookies are configured for up to thirteen calendar months from their first placement, without renewal on each visit. Before consent, after rejection or when the choice expires, the integration sends no Google Analytics request or cookieless measurement signal.

ITEA / Gîtes de France: optional

Calendars are provided by ITEA / Gîtes de France, independently of Analytics. You can allow them in the settings or with the calendar button. Permission applies only to this category and is stored for six calendar months. Any provider cookies have their own lifetimes: this permission does not set them to six or thirteen months.

RTSP.me: optional

The gîte webcam uses an RTSP.me player. It remains blocked until you specifically allow it. Loading it sends the provider technical information, including your IP address and browser, and may allow cookies. Withdrawing permission removes the player from the page and blocks further loading.

Webcam permission is separate from calendar and Google Analytics permissions. You can grant it from the Webcams page or the cookie settings and withdraw it at any time.

Google Maps: optional

The gîte map remains blocked until you specifically allow it. Displaying it sends Google technical information, including your IP address and browser, and may use cookies. Its permission is separate from other services. Withdrawing it unloads the map.

Google reCAPTCHA: spam protection

When enabled, Google reCAPTCHA spam protection loads only after your consent and when a valid form is submitted. Google may receive technical information and use cookies. The verification token is sent to Netlify with the enquiry for server-side validation. You can refuse this service and contact the owner by email. Withdrawing a Google service that has already loaded may reload the page to stop it.

External service and browser lifetimes

Permissions for ITEA, RTSP.me, Google Maps and Google reCAPTCHA are stored for six calendar months, separately for each service. The site can block or remove their players and libraries, but cannot extend or delete cookies set on those providers’ domains. Their lifetimes depend on their own policies and your browser settings.

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time. Private browsing, browser protections or manual deletion can shorten the stated periods. An expired choice, or one no longer compatible with the services offered, is removed from storage on your next visit to the site.

Change or withdraw consent

Manage my cookies opens the settings with your current choices. You can untick a category and save, or use Reject all to withdraw all optional permissions. Withdrawal unloads the relevant external content and deletes Analytics cookies accessible to the site. If Analytics or a Google verification service has already loaded, the page may reload to stop it.

This site cannot remove cookies stored on an external provider’s domain. Use your browser settings to delete them. Withdrawal stops the relevant future loads but does not automatically erase data already sent.

Videos · YouTube

The gîte’s videos are hosted on YouTube. No YouTube player, remote preview or API loads before your specific consent. Once allowed, the player uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode; Google still receives technical information and may use cookies. Withdrawing consent removes the players from the page and blocks subsequent loads.

Your video choice is stored for six months, separately from other services. You can change it at any time using Manage cookies. The site cannot delete cookies already set on Google’s or YouTube’s domains.
